Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mark A Hoath (“I”, “me”, “the site”) collects and uses information when you visit markahoath.com.
Information I collect
- Contact and newsletter details — name and email address when you join the mailing list, request a pre-release copy, or send a message through the contact form.
- Technical data — standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and diagnosing faults.
- Cookies — a small cookie may be set after newsletter signup so this device can unlock chapter teasers. Content Studio (private admin area) uses a session cookie after you sign in.
How I use information
- To send newsletter or book-related emails you asked for
- To reply to contact messages
- To operate and improve the website
- To connect social accounts you authorise in Content Studio (tokens are stored only for publishing you initiate)
I do not sell your personal information.
Third parties
Email may be sent through an SMTP provider. Social platforms (for example X / Meta / YouTube) process data under their own policies when you connect those accounts. Hosting and CDN providers may process connection logs as part of delivering the site.
Retention
Newsletter and contact records are kept while useful for those purposes, or until you ask to be removed. Server logs are kept for a limited operational period.
Your choices
You can ask to update or delete your mailing-list or contact details, or unsubscribe from emails, by contacting me using the details below.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their personal information.
